Multi-currency

Every currency,
at the rate it was posted.

Set your base and secondary currencies, maintain the exchange rate, and let Mukeem freeze it on every folio posting — so a report never drifts because today’s rate changed.

How currencies work in Mukeem

Base & secondary currency

Configure one base currency and one secondary currency per organisation — EGP and USD is the common setup.

Rate maintained by you

Set and update each currency’s exchange rate against the base; nothing is assumed to be 1.

Frozen on posting

A payment or charge keeps the exchange rate it was posted at, so past folios and reports never recalculate.

Rate history

Every change to a currency’s rate is kept, so you can see what it was on a given date.

Accepted at the cashier

Take payments in EGP, USD or any currency you have configured, on the same folio.

Per organisation

Currencies and their rates are set per organisation, so each hotel group runs its own setup.

FAQ

Questions hotels ask us

Nothing on that payment. The rate is stored with it at posting time, so it never recalculates when today’s rate moves.

You configure a base currency and can add other currencies as needed; EGP as base with USD as a secondary currency is the common setup for Egypt.
